Montessori Method
International Montessori Schools are locally owned and provide year round, full and part-time Montessori education for young children. Montessori education, at an early age, provides children with opportunities to develop their intellectual, physical, social and emotional potential.
Based on her scientific observations of young children, Dr. Maria Montessori developed a child-centred approach to education that sees the child as an individual naturally eager for learning and capable of self-directing that learning if provided with a carefully prepared, supportive learning environment. Montessori created specific materials and curriculum to support the natural development of each child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical capabilities. What is now known as the Montessori Method has been used for over 100 years in cultures all over the world and has stood the test of time and research. The best way to learn about and understand the Montessori Method is to see it in action, and you may call any IMSchools campus to schedule an observation and tour.
We are open Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm and offer the following programs for children aged 6 weeks – 6 years of age:
- Full or half days (9 am-3 pm and 9 am-12 pm)
- Before and after care (7:30-9 am and 3-6 pm)
- Summer Camp – 9-week program June – August
